Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner (rant alert)

This rant is for some of the men that now cross my path in my everyday skinny life.  You know who you are....baristas at Starbucks, the guy standing in line behind me at the pharmacy, the bartender the other night...etc

Please take note:

I am NOT your "SWEETIE."

I am NOT your "HONEY."

I am NOT your "CUTIE."

I am NOT your "BABY."

I don't understand why you NEVER called me these nausea-inducing names when I was a fatty.  But you can stop now.

The End.

  3. I hate that too! Its a big change going from invisible to being visible. A wise woman once said " No, my name ain't baby...its Janet....."

  4. Totally agreed...next time reply with, "hello dickhead!"

  5. What I don't like are the men who are clearly in a relationship doing that or doing variations thereof (like when they are standing right next to their significant other, who is turned away, and ogling me...or someone else...SO ANNOYING).

Btw, I love your slogan above! LOL!

  8. My husband hates when people call him "Bud, Chief or Pal". I think these are the equivalent of people thinking they are being flattering, but I completely agree. I don't need you calling me babe, honey or sweetie. I am none of these endearments to you.

  9. I love it! I return it too. Pet names are good clean fun!

  10. I must be in super need of a reality check because I don't mind it at all. In fact, it's a confidence booster for me when men say things like that. Of course I don't react to it but in my mind I think, oh I have been noticed and I like it!

  11. Ahhh ... if they can send a man to the moon ... why can't they send all of them?

  12. I don't mind at all and I find it quite flattering. It's better than being invisible due to my weight. Some guy calling me sweetie or honey because I look nice isn't offensive to me...that is just how men are. :)

  13. Maybe I'm just easy, (easy to please, that is, ha!) but honey, baby, and sweetie don't bother me a bit. They are not saying, "You weren't cute when you were heavy," but it seems some people interpret the new attention that way. They think you are cute and want to flirt and they have no idea how you looked a few years ago, so I would just enjoy it and not take it personally.
