The Outdoors are Weird (Hiking Photos!)

As a self-declared "indoor girl" that is now branching out into outdoor activities, I gotta tell you, the outdoors sometimes confuse me.

Here are some photos from my hike this weekend.

Sure, there are beautiful scenes of VOLCANOES:

But there are also weird fruit that hang on freaky Willy Wonka trees (bonus points if you can tell me what kind of fruit/trees these are):
The deer eat rocks and gravel:

Here I am at the peak/summit!

I guess the deer eat grass too:

  2. Lol @ SoFat4Now!

LBG, Oregon is beautiful! If I took a walk here, in the prettiest area it would be flat...because Indiana is FLAT. Also, we have so many mosquitos! (P.S. I was born in Portland, OR, but moved to IN at age 5. So I don't remember much about it.)

  3. I have no clue what type of fruit that is. I love the photos though. Especially the one of the mountain.

  4. Just love the one of the mountain. Very cool with the foreground branch. Thanks for sharing! I'm still not an outdoor girl. Perhaps as I get closer to goal! :)

  5. @So Fat 4 Now: Hilarious! And I'm right there with you!

And i'm pretty sure that isn't fruit but some sort of weirdo growth that will come alive at any minute and scramble off to eat gravel with the deer.

It just looks wrong. all wrong.

  6. Whoa, that's a weird fruit. I didn't know deer ate gravel... maybe it helps in their digestion? No calories? Who knows.
