Baring it ALL. Let's Talk About Loose Skin!

Whew! This took some bravery on my part. But here's a quick video showing my loose skin on my arms and belly.

The inner thighs are not shown because that is a whole other discussion in itself that will never be seen on the interwebs.

Please do not let the loose skin issue deter you from loosing weight and getting healthy. There are so many options (Spanx, exercise, and even plastics) that can help with the loose skin.

The MANY benefits of weight loss out weigh any negatives that come from the loose skin.

  1. Thank you so much for this!!! I'm 32 with 110 total to lose as well (only 70 left now)...and while I know it's impossibly to predict what the end result will be, from what you showed us, it looks like we may have been shaped the same so I have hope that maybe the plastics I will need won't be quite as extensive as I am anticipating.

  2. thanks for sharing..... I think we have twin bat wings and bellies!!! I've looked online at post surgical scars from arm lifts or whatever they're called and I'm not prepared to go through that. I have resolved to work as hard as I can in the gym and boot camp to do what I can to make my body as wonderful as possible.

  3. Wow- not so bad at all. I'm sure age and how long you've been overweight really affect how bad the skin situation is. I've lost 111 pounds and have way worse bat wings. Thanks for showing everyone.

  5. Excellent video! Thanks so much for sharing. I had enormous arms to begin with so I am already considering the arm lift for 2 years from now. Basically one year after I lose my excess weight. I would rather deal with the scars then the batwings. If I had your arms I wouldn't consider it either! Thanks again for sharing!

  6. You are brave and I have to say that you look wonderful. It's so good, especially for the newbies, to have something like this to know what to expect. I promise that when I get closer to goal, I'll do the same.

  8. Thanks so much for sharing.

Im 33 with 110 pounds to lose too. I've got about 65 pounds to go.

Im scared about lose skin (not enough to stay fat), but if I look half as good as you, I'll pretty pleased.

  9. Yep, that's pretty much what I look like (except I'm not at goal yet so there is still some fat on not just skin in my upper and lower bellies). I've lost 118.

I'll echo you and say that it is such a small price to pay for all of the things I've gained from the weight loss. I plan on plastics for my stomach but I'm leaving my bat wings alone. You never know when you might need to fly someday ;)

  10. Thank you so much for sharing!! I haven't really given loose skin too much thought until recently but with another 100lbs to lose I wonder what I will look like when I reach that goal.

You look so great by the way, in your pictures in your banner I would have never guessed your arms were like that. And your stomach looks great!

  11. Thanks for sharing this, it's one of the toughest things I am dealing with on this journey of losing weight is the extra skin, I feel abnormal because I have seen so many people not have any extra skin after lap band or gastric bypass. I am working out like a crazy woman trying to get it to go away but I know in reality not all of it will go away. I think down the road I will do a tummy tuck for sure but the arms and legs I don't know about those yet.

  12. Thanks for letting sharing this with us! I have thought about loose skin lately, but I like what you said about not letting that deter you from loosing weight!

BTW, I love your cat getting in the shot, cute!!!
