Thoughts on a Thursday...

Pre-band (AKA at a weight of 256 lbs+) I used to get headaches at least twice a week...you know...those annoying frontal tension-type headaches that are just annoying enough to have to take three or four ibuprofens or tylenol.  That would usually take care of the situation.  That was my life and it seemed "normal."

Well, I got one of those headaches earlier this week...it made me realize that I haven't had a headache since...maybe...July?   Anyways, off I went opening drawers and cabinets all over the house, I had to hunt and search for some tylenol.  I finally found it and I only took 1 1/2 tylenol pills - it took care of it.

This now makes me wonder why did I used to get so many headaches?
  • High blood pressure?
  • Blood sugar highs/lows?
  • Eating poor quality food?
  • No exercise?
Not sure...but I'm glad they're gone.

  1. a life without daily headaches? I dare to dream.......of course I've had my headaches before weight gain, so maybe I won't be as lucky to get rid of them with weight loss, but there is hope!

  3. I know exactly how you feel. I had one of those the other day and I hadn't had one for a long time. I think its because I've been eating a lot of carby foods which I really have stayed away from since surgery.

  4. I get these sort of headaches almost daily. I attribute it to the lighting at work. My eyes are perfect, had them checked a month ago. I have turned my monitors down to half brightness and took out half the bulbs in the flourescent lights in my office. Still headache! If you find something on these types of headaches please share, I'd love to find a solution! Thanks :)

  5. I also used to get those headaches in the front of my head. Mostly when I hadn't had enough coffee to keep my caffeine level up. Since I gave up caffeine I hardly ever get a headache anymore. So many benefits of the band.

  8. Hey there! I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by and saying hello. I really appreciate you taking the time. I really wasn't sure if anyone was still out there or would take the time to leave me a comment. Thanks for that. That in itself is motivating. I'm going to spend some time catching up on your blog - I am so impressed with how well you have done. I'm ready to do that too and am inspired by your success. I want to be a success story like you!! :)

  9. What a great NSV!!! Now that I think of it I used to get headaches on a daily basis and I hardly ever get them now. I actually have had a headache since last night but it's caffeine withdrawals for sure.

  10. Frequent headache maybe a sign of aging. More likely, you are having high blood pressure or stress due to work load you are having per day.
