With some hopeful travel plans in my future, I took a look at my passport to see when it expires.
The good news? It doesn't expire until December 2018.
The bad news? I think I may need to renew it because the photo doesn't really look like me anymore.
What do you think?
Is a new passport needed?
New Passport!!! Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteYEAP you imposter YOU! LOL you look amazing now new picture is needed!
ReplyDeleteBetter to be safe... but more importantly, where are you going?
ReplyDeleteCrazy!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah that doesnt look like you at all... Time for a new one.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you off to?
New passport! Did you hear about Justine?--she had trouble coming to Chicago because she doesn't look like her passport photo anymore. True story. I know because I heard it from somebody who heard it from her. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha!! I was just thinking the exact same thing about my work ID. Mine expires at the beginning of 2012 though so I'll be getting a new one. I agree with the other gals. Better safe than sorry and get a new passport hon!
ReplyDeleteI just looked at my passport yesterday and since the photo was made in 2006, it looks like me. Yea! For you, new photo definitely needed but agree with FitBy40 about the cost. Does your driver's license also have an older picture?
ReplyDeleteThey are sooo expensive now though...I wonder if there is a changed information version that is both cheaper and faster to complete. I am more interested though in where you are going :)

I traveled overseas at about 1 yr post-op (at my current weight) looking nothing like my passport and had no problems. But I did have the same idea as you. So either way your probably good. So...where do these hopeful plans take you?
ReplyDeleteWow! New one needed for sure!
ReplyDeleteYes! But see if you can get a revised one
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem. Luckily my pp expires Jan 2012. Now to work on the Florida dl.
ReplyDeleteI would get a revised one. However, it makes those people look and it is funny to see their expression. Good travels are in your future.

Yep, it happened to me when I came into Chicago for B00Bs!!! The border control guy looked at the passport, looked at me, looked at the passport and asked if I had any other photo ID - eeeek, no I didn't! In the end my airline ticket stub was enough to get me into the country (not sure what that proved?!), but it was a bit scary at the time.
ReplyDeleteWherever you're going, hope you have a great time (if they let you in the country...)
Well - to avoid being stopped at the airport - i say new passport - better to be safe than sorry right? :)
ReplyDeleteWell that's a good problem to have!
ReplyDeleteHA! You look nothing like that anymore. :-)
