FAIL
Dear Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups,
You are so lovely in your gold and brown wrappings...just like a little gift. Why do you call my name when I am 5 aisles away in the grocery store?
I don't know what I was thinking when I put that bag of you and your little friends in my shopping cart at the store on Saturday. Oh wait, I think the thought process was... "Oh, I'll just have one each day as a special treat...this bag will last FOREVER."
Well, as you know, what happened was not good…it was absolutely terrible. The delicious smell of peanut butter and chocolate wafting out of the bag....just called my name. You, your little buddies, and ALL OF the rest of the bag....yep, gobbled up and gone in less than 24 hours....sigh.
Why do you slip oh so quickly and easily past my new lapband?
I think we need to end our relationship here and now.
Don't worry, I will think back fondly on the relationship we had, like the thought of opening presents at Christmas when I was 5 years old.
With Kindest Regards,
Lap Band Gal
PS: Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

OMG...they are the food at the Tippety-top of my 'foods I lust after' list. I got palpatations just seeing that food porn pic! And I seriously hate you now for having the whole bag at once...sniff...that moment of hope that you could eat only one a day...and I applaude you for the no guilt about it! Oh sister ((hugs))...Goodbye creamy goodness, goodbye.
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny. Those are the bestest candies!
ReplyDeletelol! Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are the MOST evil!!!
ReplyDeleteToo funny.. but god I love those things too.. send them on their way...
ReplyDeleteOh boy do I love those. And I was just thinking today that it's time for me to break up with Cadbury Creme Eggs. I had 2 yesterday. At 150 calories a pop, that's not helping my cause.
ReplyDeleteThere's indulging and not having a diet mentality, and then there's risking everything! I've thought I could handle some things (*whoppers*), that I ended up having to throw away, or flush, or put down the disposal because it was that... or back to FAT...
ReplyDeleteThank god we don't have them readily available in Australia. I don't think you failed though I think you learnt that you can't buy a whole bag and should buy smaller sized ones if you want a treat.
ReplyDeleteHilarious letter!! I heart peanut butter in all forms. Good for you for kicking Mr. Reese's to the curb (you have to know he's a guy, causing us so much temptation and trouble!) xoxo
ReplyDeleteParting is such sweet sorrow. But sometimes it is for the best.
