So, I had a cup of coffee today. This is the second cup of coffee that I have had in the last 7 months.
I used to love coffee. I am amazed how one cup of coffee and my restriction returns..big time. Is it the caffeine, the acidity, ??
So now my lunch salad (1 hard boiled egg and 3 oz of chicken breast, I didn't even make it to the greens part) is sitting in my chest...not really stuck, but just sitting there...feels like "Thanksgiving Day Stuffed". The same exact thing happened the last time I had coffee.
Does anyone else experience this increased restriction with coffee?
PS: this also happens with popcorn. go figure
Popcorn yes, coffee...not really...although I do consider coffee my morning "meal". I always put cream in my coffee, so I figure it counts and I am NEVER hungry before lunch...so maybe there's something to what you're saying!
ReplyDeleteNot coffee!
ReplyDeleteI had that feeling on the weekend and it sucks cause I can't control it sometimes and the huge control freak in me FREAKS!
I don't know if I could make it without my coffee. I've never noticed that it increases my restriction, but I have pretty good restriction so maybe regular coffee drinking is why.
ReplyDeleteCan't help you on this as I don't like coffee but I have fluctuating restriction right now. It's not fun.
ReplyDeleteNo a cappacino is often my breakfast now...gurgles on thru. I find it with a soda and lime though...had to make myself PB...yuck
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that coffee doesn't do that to me!! I have at least one latte every morning. Maybe it's the milk that makes it better for me. I can't figure out why that would increase your restriction, strange.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of people say that coffee makes them tighter although no one can say why.
ReplyDeleteI don't like coffee so I don't know anything about this, but maybe this is a good reason to start drinking it?? lol.
ReplyDeleteI'd die! No really I would. I have to have a good 2 cups before I even attempt to eat anything solid. I love my coffee.
ReplyDeleteWonder what Reeger would have to say about it?
Nope, not even a little. I wish! I drink coffee every morning. The only three mornings I haven't had coffee since I can remember were on the morning of my wrist surgery, and the day of and day after my band surgery (and only because I was on clears and they would only give me decaf with no milk...what's the point?). So, since day 3 with my band I've had coffee every day, and have had no trouble eating after that. (Oh, and popcorn isn't a problem either. Drat.)
ReplyDeleteI realize this is a whole 3 years later...but I have to say I am so happy that coffee is allowed! I had thought for some reason coffee would be a no-go after banding. I love my morning coffee!
