I could not wear this necklace when it was first given to me back in 2008.
My neck was too fat.
The clasp couldn't connect and close.
I would need an extender for the necklace, so I just put it away for safe keeping.
I never wore that necklace.
Until today.
I put that necklace on.
And.
It.
Fit.
Even at 3+ years post-op, the non-scale victories do not end.
I hope they never do.
